Post-Gay FAQs
Ive had SO many conversations over the past few days (cant fantasize why) about post-gay that Ive decided to undertake a FAQ. Here are some questions with answers. If you can reflect of other sensible questions, please add them in the comments below.
What is Post-Gay?
Post-gay is a perspective whereby someone with gay attraction decides not to form their sexual self around their sexual orientation. This means that whilst accepting that they hold same-sex attraction, they carry out not define themselves in any way by that and refuse to agree to the idea that their same-sex attraction validates gay behaviour.
You can read a longer explanation here (from when I first coined the phrase).

Is Post-Gay just another designation for Ex-Gay?
No. Someone who is post-gay might still be exclusively homosexual in their attractions, they simply reject the idea that their sexual identity or behaviour should be defined by or dictated by their sexual attractions. In most cases it is inappropriate to use the terms ex-gay and post-gay together since

But who knew that buses were one day going to become great big political tools in culture wars over religion and sexuality? In , atheists paid for London buses to be branded with the slogan “There’s probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life.” This prompted a counter-campaign a few months later by the Christian Party who plastered “There definitely is a God; so join the Christian Party and enjoy your life.” Who’d be a bus driver these days? Not only do you have to put up with drunks who won’t pay and teenagers playing their iPods out loud but now you’re part of a propaganda machine, possibly driving round messages that you deeply disagree with.

Post-Gay Period ?
Post gay is an ideology that sees each sexual orientation homosexual, bisexual, heterosexual and asexual as being equally valid forms of human expression. (queerty)
Although some believe that we are in the post queer era, i disagree with this claim. There are still so many people in Europe and North America, who are anxious of accepting their sexuality as a gay person, more so to announce the whole world that they are gay for so many reasons.
One of reasons is what they think of themselves. In small ( conservative ) towns, children and people are taught that homosexuality is a sin. There is ideology that people who engage in this sexual act are immoral should not allowed to be a part of the community is widespread and held on to.
If one is taught something from a youthful age, you internalize it. If you have been called fat your whole life, you (most likely) see yourself as se, if you are constantly told you are gorgeous, you see yourself as beautiful. Following this logic then, one of the biggest obstacles people meet in admitting to themselves that
