2SLGBTQIA+ community
Vancouver is home to the largest Two-Spirit, lesbian, male lover, bisexual, trans, gender diverse, and queer (2SLGBTQIA+) group in Western Canada.
The 2SLGBTQIA+ community is a significant presence throughout Vancouver, centred along Davie Street in the West End and Commercial Journey in Grandview.
Every year, the Mayor proclaims the last week of July into the first week of August as Pride Week to present support for this diverse and vibrant community.

The Islands
Queer News: Victoria and Vancouver Island: This community is for the posting of any news connected to queer folk in Victoria, B.C. or the lower island/Gulf Islands in general. This includes but is not limited to: Community Events,
Programs, Healthcare, Arts & Culture, Business, and Achievements.
Living Out Visibly & Engaged Community Response Network: Coordinating a people response to sexual and gender minority adult exploitation, neglect and self-neglect.
Vancouver Island Transgender Support: We all need support in animation. Going through life as a transgender person can sometimes mean we necessitate even more support. This is a group for folks to give and get that support. Participate your stories, give tips and advice and just be positive. Tell us about your transition milestones or seek advice. Link with others and attach in some of the local LGBTQ events.

Who we are
We are a organization of or so Greater Vancouver-area gay men and their friends, who enjoy sharing the wonderful outdoors. Our activities include hiking, walking, cycling, kayaking, skiing, camping and more — whatever is of interest to our members. Most of our events are local, but sometimes we commute around a bit. We gain together for social gatherings throughout the year—anything from a barbecue to a night at the opera. All of our events are organized by club members. O&A has been around for more than 30 years. Here is a history of our organization.
How membership works
- We have a trial membership. Just for the asking, you can join our team here at (). This gives you access to our events, although the ability to produce events requires full membership.
- We grant you up to 3 months as a trial member, for you to check us out. If its a match, we collect a $10 one-time-fee.
- Once you become a full member, youre allowed (and encouraged) to design new events and publish them on meetup (in parlance, youre promoted from No Role to Event Organizer), a
