Disney is refusing to trim LGBTQ scene in Healer Strange 2, Saudi Arabia says

Saudi Arabia has asked Disney to cut “LGBTQ references” from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness before it can be screened in the kingdom, an official said on Monday – but denied earlier reports that the film has been banned.

Disney has so far declined the requested edits to the Doctor Strange sequel, slated for discharge around the world next week. The cuts amount to “barely 12 seconds” in which a sapphic character, America Chavez, played by the actor Xochitl Gomez, refers to her “two moms”, according to Nawaf Alsabhan, Saudi Arabia’s general supervisor of cinema classification.

“It’s just her talking about her moms, because she has two moms,” Alsabhan said. “And organism in the Middle East, it’s very tough to pass something like this.”

He added: “We sent it to the distributor, and the distributor sent it to Disney, and Disney has told us they are not willing.”

But Alsabhan disputed reports that the movie had been banned outright.

What is our bois canon sexuality?

Doctor Strange, according to the comics, would be the MCU examine that about him in the movies? Probably not. If so (I HOPE) it will be by lines, references and jokes. Has the MCU ever brought that up? YES, in the prelude comics and canon prelude novels.

Facts:

He married Clea, an alien which original true develop is NOT human like.
He liked orgies and in some pages, there are other men in them too. (Just…read the comics. It’s spread all over the comics.)
Him and Deadpool very likely slept together (vide meta I wrote, just search Deadpool in my search box) (Strange shows great intimacy towards Wade, doing things such as hugging and diagnosing breast cancer /because he took a closer glare if you know what i mean, and not as a doctor/ things Strange doesn’t do to other random characters.)
In Infinity War there’s the wink. It sounds silly, but Hollywood putting a wink and a smirk between two guys IS A HUGE ADVANCEMENT and be sure there’s Easter eggs and subjective pointers towards Strange’s sexuality.
